How private your gallery actually is
The word “private” gets used loosely in this business. Here is exactly what it means here — and what it does not.
The gallery is published nowhere
There is no public listing, no event search, no page from which someone could stumble into your gallery. The only route to it is the link you shared.
Search engines do not index it
Gallery and upload pages carry an explicit no-index instruction, sent both in the page and in the HTTP header, and the paths are disallowed in robots. We do not rely on robots alone: a disallowed address can still surface if someone links to it, which is why the header instruction exists as well.
Photographs are not at a public address
Every image is served through a signed link that expires after an hour. If someone copies an image address and passes it on, that address stops working. There is no permanent public address a photo sits under forever.
The PIN is your choice, and it changes the rules
Without a PIN, anyone with the link can open the gallery — convenient, but it means the link is the thing to protect. With a PIN, the link alone is not enough. For sensitive events, use a PIN and share it out loud rather than in the same message as the link.
A link that cannot be guessed
A gallery address contains a random component that will not yield to guessing. But random is not the same as secret: whoever receives the link has access. Treat a gallery link like a key.
You decide what is visible
Everything guests send reaches you first. Until you approve it, nobody else sees it. Deleted files first move to a state you can restore from, and only then disappear for good.
This explains how the system works; it is not a legal document. Read the privacy policy
